Skyline Orchestra Camp Recap! (2026)

Completed my second year teaching with Skyline High School Orchestra for their summer camp hosted at Interlochen Center For the Arts! It was so much fun connecting with the kids again and spending a week working towards a common goal. Huge shoutout to Andrea Murray for welcoming me back again for a second year!

This year, I led first violin sectionals and taught a basic music theory enrichment class, along with being a cabin counselor for 11 high school girls. The students did such a great job grasping onto tricky material in such a short amount of time! I admired all the freshmen that came up and asked for extra help when they needed it. We did some fun partner activities in sectionals that also helped the group get to know each other. In basic music theory, we ended the week with a fun team jeopardy game based on all we learned that week.

I love camp so much and hope that I have the availability to attend again next year for my third year in a row! Such a wonderful group of students and supportive group of orchestra staff!
